Some old favourites are taking part in this. SUMMERGHAND was disappointing last time but he ran in the Clipper Stakes on last year’s card and this represents something of a drop in class. Kevin Ryan's stable has been a little quiet so far though Bergerac has made the frame three times this year and can give a good account. Woven is another that has hit the crossbar with regularity though Michael Dods has his string in good nick. Count D'orsay wasn’t far away in the Ayr Gold Cup won by Bielsa and the return to the hustle and bustle of a big field handicap could be just the ticket for last week's Chester runner-up.
