A case can be made for at least half the field in a wide-open event. Zacynthus won last year's renewal off a 5lb lower mark but the runner-up WHOZTHECAT re-opposes on better terms this time round despite carrying a penalty for scoring at Nottingham last week and may come out best. Breakable has won four times over 7f but all on fast ground though is weighted to reverse running at Musselburgh last month with the penalised winner Lil Sophella. Evanescent, Kalk Bay and Mime Dance all have a shout off their current marks and Fullon Clarets can figure having gone close on his last couple of outings.
