In depth

Verdict

Atacama Desert landed a double with last month’s victory over track and trip though is upped in class and raised 8lb. Ghadbbaan won in a lower grade at Ripon recently and Whitehaven is preferred on his third at Goodwood. Carrigillihy, Praiano and Arctic Fox have something to prove over this far but DUKE OF VERONA (NAP) finished a decent fourth when fading in the closing stages of the Cesarewitch Trial over 2m2f at Newmarket and may well come out best over this shorter trip.
