Verdict

Stonific was due to run yesterday at Thirsk. The likes of Blue Medici, Arabic Culture and Qawamees all arrive in good heart and there looks to be very little between them on the form book. Black Kalanisi needed the help of the stewards to get off the mark and will need to improve again so it's the Irish raider SHAMAD (NAP) who gets the nod. He stays this trip really well and took the Amateurs' Derby at the Curragh nine days ago in decisive fashion. Oisin Orr has travelled over with him to take the ride.
