In depth

Verdict

After a string of decent efforts in handicap company, Charlie Cool was dropped into this grade at Doncaster a week ago but surprisingly found High Five Society too strong. It's now more than a year since he last got his head in front and he was beaten on similar terms by veteran Fremen at Redcar in September. Dandy Nicholls' 11-year-old is a grand old campaigner but shouldn't beat EXTRATERRESTRIAL at the weights here. Ahead of Charlie Cool when fourth at Newcastle last month, Richard Fahey's gelding should return to winning ways in this.
