        Verdict

        Robert Guiscard has improved with each run this season, having been beaten narrowly over the track and trip last month before making all at Bath. Both runs were on very fast going so it remains to be seen how he handles these conditions. The front-running Late Arrival was odds-on at Salisbury on good to soft but couldn't quicken at the business end. He'll need to do better and the 6lb he concedes to IVADREAM (NAP) may prove beyond him. Roger Charlton's charge, a winner over 6f at Windsor in June, has been staying on over 7f the last twice, the latest on soft going at Chepstow. Shining Aitch landed a Chelmsford handicap in good style but couldn't handle a 9lb rise and 1m2f at Newmarket but Estate House has run a bit better than form figures suggest the last twice.
