      Verdict

      FINEST SOUND has contested some warm races in this grade this season and his latest effort when beaten under a length by the more than useful pair of Good Birthday and Harrovian appeals as the strongest recent form on offer. He's been left on an unchanged mark by the handicapper and is very much at home on the forecast quick ground under regular partner, Atzeni. He holds Dawaam and Spanish Archer on recent running and Sky Defender could emerge as his main challenger now the assessor has cut him a decent amount of slack. The City's Phantom and Protected Guest are course and distance winners but both finished tailed off when last seen.
