    Verdict

Recent winners Billie Beane and Sir Jamie must have claims in a modest finale, though the latter is no certainty to confirm course and distance running with King Oswald on the revised terms. Red Gunner went close at Bath and Coachella was also second last time, at Brighton. MAGICAL RIDE (NAP) can defy top weight, however, if he reproduces his latest effort on Turf at Lingfield where he was only caught in the shadows of the post and finished well clear of the third. Hi Ho Silver is most interesting of the remainder as he’s run well here the last twice and the stable gets plenty of winners in handicaps on this track.
