        Verdict

Lambert was only sixth when Charming Whisper produced a 50/1 shock over this course and distance at the start of the month but George Boughey’s gelding looked much more the finished article in an above-average seller at Newmarket later and can reverse the placings. Shield Wall looks the pick of Marco Botti’s trio on jockey bookings while newcomers Shelbourne and Cock And Bull are worth a market check. MAGNA VEGA (NAP) should have come on a bundle for his fifth at Doncaster and he gets the nod ahead of Kempton third Validated, who would probably benefit from an extra furlong.
