Don Pasquale is nominated ahead of Sir Haydn, Desert Hawk and General Flumpa. The selection has been disappointing of late but a switch back to more favourable ground should be in his favour and with the useful James O'Reilly aboard, the winning habit is waiting to be regained. Sir Haydn is a better performer on all-weather ratings than turf but does at least handle the likely going. His most recent effort on soft going should be ignored. Desert Hawk is a regular feature in races of this nature and is sure to give a good account of himself. General Flumpa won on soft going on his latest start and connections will be keen for the rain to hit East Anglia sooner rather than later. Veba is still searching for a maiden victory and proved an expensive failure at Lingfield. Trevian bids to atone for a long losing run. Don Pasquale has plenty of ticks in the right boxes and is our selection in the finale.
