A decent turnout for the day’s feature. The Gosden yard has won four of the last seven renewals and AL ASIFAH (NAP) is on a retrieval mission after failing to land the odds in the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot when she was drawn wide and never looked like getting to the front. A winner in this grade earlier at Goodwood, she still has time on her side. Mukaddamah also runs in the Shadwell colours and this is her trip, as she showed at York in July when ahead of Queen Of The Skies, but Jim Crowley prefers the selection. Makinmedoit holds a couple of these on her third at Salisbury last month and she has place claims again while Infinite Cosmos would be a threat to all on her third in the Musidora at York in May, though she hasn’t been seen since. Sapphire Seas is making giant strides so can’t be ignored.
