Verdict

Forest Demon lost his tongue-strap in the stalls last time having won in the headgear at Newmarket earlier. Queen's Company won a lower grade race over track and trip but Absolute Queen missed out on a hat-trick off today’s higher mark when well beaten at Windsor. Panning For Gold has won four times over a mile this year but BATTISTA (NAP) has a middle-distance pedigree and, having been gelded since finding subsequent Ascot winner Crystal Casque too good at Sandown, the Gosdens’ charge gets the vote upped in trip.
