Verdict

The handicapper looks to have Hi Note firmly in her grip now while this looks too tough for veteran Colinca's Lad and York winner Montefeltro is still 4lb out of the handicap proper. Watered Silk and Lyric Street lack a recent run while Quixote has gone off the boil, though will handle the going and has faced some difficult tasks lately. Salisbury winner Viking Storm is less exposed than the penalized SIRVINO but conditions could be a real problem for the top weight so David Barron's Carlisle scorer gets the vote as he will go through the ground and has won off a similar mark in the past.
