Maiden handicaps rarely excite but this could be the exception that proves the rule. Nasraawy found only one too good at Newbury and Leicester last month while Rocket Rod disputed favouritism at Windsor following a third at Newcastle but was beaten four lengths by his market rival. The City's Phantom showed promise last summer but Eventful was beaten in a four-runner race here last month. A further step up in trip should suit My Poem but the four-year-old SLADE KING can give the weight away. Generally progressive last season, he did nothing wrong on his reappearance at Newmarket and could find more in a first-time visor.
