Verdict

JUNOOB and Almagest appear the ones most open to further progress and could dominate this handicap. John Dunlop's well-connected gelding ran out a facile winner when upped to this distance at Folkestone in June so gets the narrow vote despite the fact that he hasn't raced since. The latter won well enough at Windsor last month but got himself very worked up beforehand and may be a bit of a tricky customer. Direct Answer had non excuses at Kempton last time, while the handicapper probably has a grip on Trojan Nights. Porgy should run his race again, however, and is preferred to Art Scholar of the remainder.
