    Verdict

    All of these step up in trip though FIRST WINTER was beaten only a neck over 1m2f at Lingfield on his debut when finishing well clear of the rest. Charlie Appleby’s charge gets the vote on that form and is preferred to the other Godolphin runner and newcomer Dubai Welcome. Zeeband is a half-brother to a Group 3 winner and is already gelded while On Guard has also been gelded since finishing second over a mile at Haydock without threatening the winner. Al Qaqaa was narrowly beaten over a mile at Chelmsford in November and can figure if lasting home but Master Rocco is easily dismissed in this company.
