In depth

Verdict

Equuleus Pictor has done all his winning on the Fibresand or with cut in the ground, while this is much tougher than the C&D event Whiskey Junction finished second in last month. Star Twilight remains 2lb higher than her only win to date but Midnight Rider has claims off his current mark. The handicapper looked to have overreacted to MISS POLLY PLUM landing a double in June when she was well beaten at Doncaster. But, she wasn't beaten far here last time and Chris Dwyer's filly may not have finished improving yet.
