In depth

Verdict

Warden Warren, who ran away with an apprentice race at Newmarket on Saturday afternoon, gets in here without a penalty and while he is certain to run well, he has more on his plate. Tarboush, given a fine ride from the front when winning at Newbury, is not out of this despite shouldering top weight. However, the vote goes to the enigmatic Willoughby's Boy, who had no luck in running when a close up sixth, beaten less than two lengths in a better race than this at Newmarket.
