A competitive and open handicap chase, but Winged Hussar comes here in top form, and is just preferred to Old Hush Wing, Three Days Reign and Free To Run. The latter has been off the track for nearly six months, but was a model of consistency last season, winning four times, and Sue Smith's charge would have strong claims if fit enough to do himself justice here. Stable companion Old Hush Wing won nicely at Sedgefield last time and is another leading contender, along with Three Days Reign, who landed a few bets when winning here last time, but has been raised 11lbs as a result. But our selection goes to Winged Hussar, who won convincingly at Bangor last time and although he would ideally prefer a softer surface David Gandolfo's gelding seems to be at the top of his form and will not be troubled by this step up in trip.
