Chorizo made a very pleasing debut at Fontwell and should be capable of taking this modest looking event, Ballykelly and Medic look to be the main dangers. The Paul Nicholls trained five-year-old is a superbly bred son of Derby winner Kahyasi and attracted plenty of support on his first outing. He veered violently left in the closing stages and through away his chance of winning, but still finished runner up to a Nicky Henderson newcomer. The experience will not be lost on him and if he keeps his mind on the job today he should collect. Point to point winner Ballykelly made a winning start to his bumper career, impressively beating Strawberry by four lengths. He should go well despite his penalty. Medic has gone close in a couple of decent events and should again be on the premises. Any money for Paul Blockley's Muckshifter would be of interest, but Chorizo looks the form pick here and gets our vote.
