Verdict

Molly Childers was favourite when third on her hurdling debut at Market Rasen but only finished third, behind David's Phoebe, and this looks a bit more competitive. Peggies Venture didn't quite realise her potential in three runs last season but might have strengthened up over the summer. MELANGERIE beat a subsequent winner in a mares' bumper at Market Rasen in March and then defied a penalty at Cheltenham. She has a solid jumping pedigree and is potentially better than these. Anndarrow is likely to know her job and this looks a tough start.
