Dan Breen looked to have a decent chance at Newton Abbot last time but was among three first beaten and it's more than two years since he last got his head in front. Emerald Rose, Princely Player and FADE TO GREY were all close up in the race won by Bob Keown over course and distance earlier this month. They meet again on similar terms but the last-named could find more improvement than his two rivals and is fancied to come out on top today. Maller Tree fell here over 2m4f last time in a race in which My Lad Percy eventually finished third. Martin Keighley's charge is another to consider but Tarvini might need another run or two. Stratford third Sheriff Hutton is on a fair mark, however, and should make his presence felt.
