Verdict

Not the strongest of events and a chance is taken with chasing debutante Oscar Performance. The winner of a couple of novice hurdles, he has the scope to make a chaser and can make the most of the weight he receives from Heracles. The latter took his time to get the hang of things over fences, but he has done nothing wrong in his last two outings over the bigger obstacles and as a consequence he has to give plenty of weight away, which may prove beyond him. Platers Captain O'Neill and Kingsdown Trix can fight out the minor honours.
