A host of horses are worth taking note of in the market including Shamdian, Nicely Presented and new comers Alroyal from the Charlie Mann stable and Mukhalif from the Mark Pitman yard, but the proven Polish mare Tulipa gets our vote. Tom Georges contender was a top class flat performer in her native Poland and has already established herself as a useful sort with two wins at Perth the last of which in very impressive style when beating hot pot Whispered Secret by 12 lengths. She carries a double penalty today but gets her mares 5lb allowance and should prove too good for her rivals. The Nicky Henderson Trained four-year-old Shamdian look a smart type when beating subsequent flat winner Frontier at Hereford on his penultimate start but was exposed in a Class D hurdle at Stratford thereafter but back in grade has a chance. Nicely Presented has yet to win after nine starts but hails from the in form Jonjo O¿Neill yard and is worth noting in the market. Of the two newcomers mentioned Mukhalif would take preference over Alroyal as he won the Italian Derby back in 1999 and performed well in Dubai but has been off the track for eighteen months. He still looks interesting nonetheless. To recap Tulipa looks set to improve further and score her hat-trick with Shamdian looking to chase her home.
