Go West is taken to get his head in front this time around while Dusty Dane and Dubai Ace are both worth noting. The selection has been the bridesmaid on his last three outing finishing second at Towcester, Bangor and last time out over course and distance. His form behind Piran reads well as the winner ran well again thereafter to finish second. He has been consistent for his new connections this season without getting his head in front. That said he will have his favoured fast ground here and has chase experience on his side so with that in mind he is difficult to oppose. Dusty Dane won a claimer at Towcester before unseating his rider here over course last time out. That was his first run over the bigger obstacles and his jumping will have to improve before any confidence can be given in his quarters. Dubai Ace won on the level over the winter but has not really shown enough over hurdles and last time over fences to suggest he can win here. He has shown ability in the past at this time of year but he has yet to hit form so is best watched. So for the winner we return to Go West.
