In depth

Verdict

Houlihans Free, Cream Cracker and Don And Gerry will fight this one out with the nod going to the last named. Don And Gerry was five lengths behind Cream Cracker receiving two pounds on their last racecourse visit but this time receives nine pounds so is taken to reverse the form. And the fact that it was his first outing over hurdles Don And Gerry is entitled to show some improvement. Houlihans Free won a bumper around here last month but was not good enough to win with a penalty thereafter when finishing third on his latest outing. He has to be shown respect coming from a top yard and is worth noting in the market as is Harry Cat who has the services of Tony McCoy. But for the winner we return to Don And Gerry.
