Verdict

Vinegar Hill was due to run at Southwell last night and is much better on ground with some give. Perspicace was just caught by Jinsha Lake at Towcester and can race off the same mark. He's readily preferred to course winner and former stablemate Vif Argent but Grandmaster George can get involved and makes more appeal than Quarryman, second twice at Newton Abbot recently but well beaten on both occasions. NATIVE DISPLAY was only third off this mark when favourite at Plumpton in November but he's only had the five starts over hurdles and has the potential to be a bit better than he's shown so far.
