This novices' contest can be taken by Sharp Steel, who can reverse recent placings with Cash 'N' Credit and also see off the challenge of professional 'bridesmaid' Jamorin Dancer. The selection gave 10lb to Cash 'N' Credit when one and three quarters of a length third to him over course and distance last time and ran well enough there to suggest that with a 5lb pull here he can score. At home on decent ground, he is prone to the occasional blunder and punters might not want to risk to much here, but he can get his nose in front. Cash 'N' Credit looks sure to go well again under Ben Hitchcott and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that he could improve to take this after just one outing over fences. However, that weight reversal might just stop him on this occasion. Jamorin Dancer has one of those sequences of second places that usually make people question a horse's attitude. Nevertheless, there has been nothing about his string of runners-up efforts that have suggested he is a quitter, more so that he has met one better on each occasion. We expect the same to happen here, though over a trip and track that will suit, he should be on the premises. The selection, though, is Sharp Steel.
