Verdict

A long absence has proved no barrier to success for David Pipe runners in the past and SURFBOARD is expected to arrive here fit enough to do himself justice. He's a 10-year-old now but hasn't that many miles on the clock and gets the vote on account of the fact that he returns on a lower mark than when last successful at Leicester in 2007. Hoo La Baloo is another well treated on his best form and he'll be all the better for his recent third in a hunter chase at Stratford, while Nostringsattached hinted at a revival over a longer trip here last month. Fit To Drive is back on a winning mark but Peplum has completely lost his way since notching a double at Newbury and Ludlow earlier in the year and still looks too high in the weights.
