Most with positive form figures arrive from the point-to-point arena and are difficult to assess and Jonagold may prove best of the bunch. Leighton Lass showed enough on debut under Rules for Dan Skelton to suggest she could play a prominent role here. She was never going to have the necessary speed on that occasion to trouble the front two but now goes up nearly a mile in trip which should suit. Spillers Dream stayed on from an unpromising position to claim fourth spot on debut for Philip Hobbs and should improve for the experience and Modulus shaped well on his Rules debut when second at Uttoxeter. Indeed that run could see him go very close but a chance is taken with WESTERLY BREEZE. He ran a series of good races here last summer and is far more experienced over timber than most of these. The obvious problem is an absence of over 360 days but let's take the risk he's ready to do himself justice.
