In depth

Verdict

Storm of Applause, Pass It On and Borora are the three to look at here with Storm of Applause given the vote. Pass It On will be a popular choice here but he has been a little disappointing since scoring at Market Rasen in November. He can run well, but may need to come down a few pounds in the handicap to be seen to best effect. The grey Borora won over the course and distance last year but some good efforts have now seen him go up eleven pounds in the ratings. He has not been seen since unseating his rider at the Cheltenham Festival and may be best watched here. Storm of Applause is five pounds higher than when scoring in tenacious fashion last time, but is a fast ground winner, and is proven over the trip. He receives weight from all bar two of his rivals and Storm of Applause can take full advantage.
