Peggies Venture is interesting making her chasing debut. She’s a past winner here and races off the same mark as when successful over hurdles at Kempton in the spring. Malangen got off the mark over fences at Bangor at the fourth time of asking while Monty's Award and Mr Mcguiness have both had wind surgery since last seen. REGULATION is probably a little exposed but has won twice for Bryony Frost and will probably run his race again. Carolines Charm jumped well at Fontwell but an opening mark of 117 looks very harsh.
Monty's Award (IRE) 9-4 (11-11) Held up last, disputing 3rd 5th until dropped to rear 8th, never on terms after, weakened and no chance from 10th, tailed off before 3 out, soon pulled up, at Kempton 2m 4f hcp (4) gd in May.
Carolines Charm (IRE) 20-1 (11-0) Tracked leader, mistake 5 out, driven to challenge 2 out, jumped into lead last, stayed on strongly (2 fences omitted), won at Fontwell 2m 6f (4) gf in Aug beating Ennistown (11-12) by 1l, 4 ran.
Regulation (IRE) 9-2 (11-12) Led, headed before 3rd, led 4th, headed after next, lost 2nd 2 out, weakened before last, 3rd of 6, 21 1/4l behind Topofthecotswolds (11-11) at Stratford 2m 3f hcp (4) gs in Aug.
Peggies Venture 6-1 (11-9) Tracked leaders, weakened after 3 out, last of 6, dist behind She's Gina (10-8) at Southwell 2m 4f hcp (4) gd in Jun.
Mr Mcguiness (IRE) 50-1 (11-6) Behind, headway approaching last, never nearer, 7th of 14, 33l behind Glen Forsa (11-2) at Chepstow 3m hcp (4) sft in Nov.
Malangen (IRE) 7-4fav (10-8) In touch, headway 5 out, soon chasing leaders, effort after 2 out, every chance when rider dropped whip inside final furlong, stayed on to join winner post, won at Bangor-on-Dee 2m 1f hcp (4) gd in Aug beating Salto Chisco (11-10), 6 ran.
Trumps Benefit (IRE) 5-1 (11-6) Led until 2 out, no impression on winner form last, stayed on same pace, 2nd of 8, 16l behind Mash Potato (11-3) at Cartmel 2m 5f hcp (5) gs in Aug.
Leaving Home (IRE) 25-1 (10-8) Prominent, ridden approaching 2 out, weakened before last, 10th of 14, 27 1/2l behind Damut I'm Out (11-12) at Worcester 2m 7f hcp (5) gd in Aug.
