In depth

Verdict

Jacarado, Brave Jo and Its Blue Chip look the principals here with Jacarado set to go one better than his second place recently. Its Blue Chip ran a sound race in defeat at Perth recently, finishing a good third, and then ran the next day and disappointed after making a bad mistake. He can play a part here, having been given time to recover from his exertions. Brave Jo has only one win to his credit in 19 starts, that coming on heavy ground at Exeter in a handicap hurdle. He has looked a little one paced in recent starts but can play a part in the finish. Jacorado seems in great heart judged by his unfortunate attempt to peg back a long time leader last time. He has seen his handicap rating considerably raised, but there was no fluke about his effort last time and Jacorado can concede the weight.
