Sweet Auburn gets the vote in a trappy event, with Magical Liaison, Kings Linen and Returned Un Paid all in with a shout as well. Nothing stands out too much here, but Sweet Auburn has shown on more than one occasion that he has the ability to pick up a minor contest such as this. He has been tried both over hurdles and fences this season and seems comfortable over either type of obstacle. With Graham Lee on board, he can once again be in the shake-up. Kings Linen has yet to score but might be suited by the slight step back in trip here, while Magical Liaison in contrast will cope better with further to travel. Returned Un Paid is still a bit high in the weights but has less to do than when fifth in a better race than this at Maitre in May. His only victory so far has been over fences but he has claims in this company. As stated, this is not a race to get too heavily involved in but we shall stick with Sweet Auburn to small stakes.
