Former Ballydoyle inmate Banyan Tree has joined Rebecca Curtis having shown some promise in a couple of starts over timber in Ireland. He is certainly one for the short-lists here while Spirit Is Needed has been knocking on the door in similar company and dropped back to 2m having been found wanting over further in his last two starts. Maadraa has disappointed since finishing second at Newton Abbot in March, however, and lacks the scope of THE WINGED ASSASIN. Successful three times on the level up to 1m1f, he dispelled any stamina doubts with a strong showing in a better contest over C&D on his hurdling debut and doesn't need to improve on that to score here.
