PIPS ASSERTIVE WAY, Am I Blue and Grand Bay are the trio to make the shortlist here, with Pip'sn Assertive Way likely to make the most of the weight concession from Grand Bay with Am I Blue best of the rest. The last named is relatively unexposed over hurdles and she showed enough in a claimer last time to suggest she can play a part here. Grand Bay reverts to hurdles after finishing out of the frame over the bigger obstacles last time, though that was a decent contest which has worked out well. He can give a good account but the weight will be a hindrance. Pip's Assertive Way won a seller last summer and races here off only a 6lb higher mark. She was third and well clear of the fourth in a similar contest to this last time, and that form should enable Pip's Assertive Way to win this.
