Allude appeared to show improved form at Aintree last but, if putting his best foot forward, Bid For Fame can give Nicky Henderson and Mick Fitzgerald another win. The gelding is proving a little frustrating but, with very few that can be considered as strong opponents, he might represent a bit of value if around the 3/1 mark. Court Shareef had a recent Flat spin and, with Richard Johnson an interesting booking, could go well at his second go at the jumping game. Venetia Williams Sadler's Wells' horse, Grand Finale, could get placed (he won a Listed Race on the flat in Ireland for Dermot Weld in 2000), while Kings Command has shown some promise in bumpers.
