      Verdict

      LAIETH never threatened when fourth over 7f at Kempton on his racecourse debut. But the runner-up has won subsequently won and, with this extra distance likely to suit the Godolphin colt, he gets the vote. Hamilton third Arch Gold steps up from 6f with Escalator finished a modest fifth over today’s trip at Leicester. Of the newcomers, Grecian Spirit is a half-brother to a Listed winner over middle-distances in France and Alpine Peak is an early Derby entry.
