Irish raider The Drunken Dr is still a maiden but ran well over this trip at Down Royal last month. Dhampas has done better over longer trips and though Maslak has dropped to the lowest mark of his very long career he was beaten a long way at Catterick recently. The ultra-consistent Sassanian gained his first ever success over hurdles at Sedgefield but that was last September and he hasn't run since. Bute Street won over the C&D just over a year ago from a 1lb higher mark but he's been in poor form recently so this can go to KICKAHEAD. Ian Williams' charge, five times a winner over timber, was having his first start since last July when an excellent fourth over an inadequate trip here earlier this month and should reverse the form with the consistent Locum, who was just ahead.
