Verdict
Bass Strait never figured over track and trip last week and the remaining trio all step up in distance. Mashkuur finished in front of Achnamara when second of five runners over 1m2f at Lingfield recently but RETICENT won a maiden at the same track last time and Andrew Balding’s filly beat a subsequent winner on that occasion. Given both her winning relatives scored over today’s trip, she gets the vote on her handicap debut.
