Verdict

BASE NOTE returned an impressive winner over course and distance last time. A 6lb rise is reduced by Harry Burns’ allowance and he looks the one to side with once again. A maiden winner for Ballydoyle, Scriptwriter has won both starts over hurdles since joining his current yard and a tongue-tie is fitted back on the Flat today while Mr Alan debuts on the all-weather having won twice over shorter trips on Turf. Viola still looks high enough in the weights while both Temporize and Protected Guest look to need further nowadays.
