Birkside, Lobengula and Baan are the three to consider here, and though they are all in good form, Lobengula is taken to see them off. Lobengula shrugged off a nine pound rise in the ratings to score for the second time in a row over the course and distance last time and won with some authority. Seven pounds higher here, Lobengula may not have stopped winning. Incontrast, Baan has not won for two years but has shown distinct signs of a return to form recently. Only two pounds higher than when second last time, he looks very competitive. Birkside has won his last five since dropping down from handicap grade and will have gained confidence, but he may find this tougher. Lobengula is taken to complete the hat-trick.
