A race little better than plating class and PERLACHY can see off Flamestone and Under Warranty. The ex-Norma Macauley inmate now resides with Derek Shaw and he made the winner's enclosure for the new trainer at Great Leighs. Despite the presence of plenty of opposition, there appears little more to do against the usual suspects at this level. Flamestone won a particularly bad classified stakes at Kempton Park but hasn't been overly punished for those labours. Under Warranty had plenty of form in Italy though let his supporters down in an amateur riders race last time out. Chookie Heiton was once listed class on the level but he very much is in the carpet and slippers category these days. True, the assessor has now given him a chance but it remains to be seen as to how much ability he maintains. Welcome Approach has made a habit of popping up sporadically at big odds and has gone well fresh in the past. Wiltshire's third in a seller was given a boost by One More Round's victory on Wednesday afternoon. Great Knight makes a debut for Sylvester Kirk having left Willie Haggas. Hunt The Bottle's earlier promise appears a very distant memory. Elkhorn is apparently well treated in relation to his turf mark so watch the market closely. Perlachy is the pick in a race where many have spurned easier chances in the past.
