        Verdict

        A tricky maiden to fathom but the tentative vote goes to High Tribute ahead of Risque Heights and Pindar. The selection was beaten just a length into fifth nine days ago, and he should appreciate this further step up in trip today. His trainer has his horses in good form this winter, and with a fair draw he looks like he could be hard to beat. Alfredian Park is an interesting newcomer, as is Barney Curley's Pindar which should be monitored for signs of confidence in the betting. Risque Heights has finished second on his last two starts, and could go one better as long as his jockey doesn't find himself getting outpaced again. Gerard Butler doesn't send out many at this time of year so that should be taken into account. However, High Tribute looks sure to appreciate the extra furlong today and so he gets the vote.
