      Verdict

With plenty of pace to chase a chance is taken on ROYAL INTRUDER. The booking of Richard Hughes appears significant as he was aboard for the horse's last success and the pair appear a nice match, as his patient riding approach suits this strong traveller who is undeniably well-handicapped. Excellent Show looks the pick of the prominent racers ahead of Walvis Bay and Living It Large as she's yet to finish outside the first two on artificial surfaces, but this is her first start for some time and perhaps this isn't the time to back her. Avertor is capable of winning from this mark when things drop right which they failed to do at Goodwood but he has it to prove on the surface, unlike Diriculous who could go well dropped in grade ahead of his return to action.
