Al Muheer ran well last time at Chester and has won three times over this course and distance under Patrick Vaughan, though never in this grade. Qaffaal has improved with experience this year and the Musselburgh runner-up still looks fairly treated. Red Unico is also running well but Kodiac Lady is probably in the handicapper's grip at present and was beaten by Gabrial The Thug here at the start of the month. DEPTH CHARGE never got competitive at Kempton last time and was eased in the closing stages. Dropped a further 2lb since, Jeremy Noseda's maiden is starting to look very well treated and could be worth persevering with. Manolito has a penalty for getting of the mark at Kempton but can't be ignored and is preferred to New Stream of the others.
