Summer Lodge is a sporting choice, while My Michelle and Scamperdale also make appeal on the pick of their form. That said Blackmail would also come into the reckoning if he is sparked back into life by his first ever visit to Dunstall Park. Still, he is very unlikely to start improving at the age of nine, so he looks a touch risky to recommend for anything other than each-way money. Scamperdale won a handicap off 55 here just after Christmas and has gone well for Tom Quealy in the past. But he has looked to be in the grip of the handicapper in his last two starts and now has a little to prove. My Michelle, on the other hand, comes here on the crest of a wave after winning two of her last four starts. She is still feasibly well treated on the pick of her past form; so her revitalisation may have a little room for more work. Watch the betting market closely where she is concerned. Even so, Summer Lodge looks to have been given a chance by the assessor and he edges the vote on this occasions. The Paul Dixon-owned gelding has gone close to losing his maiden tag on numerous occasions and deserves a change of fortune. He is relatively unexposed at the trip and it would come as no surprise to see him finally deliver the goods today (hopefully at fair odds to boot).
