Royal Birth was still beaten five lengths when runner-up over track and trip last time. That wasn't much of an improvement from his earlier debut at York and BROADWAY RANGER is preferred. The latter is making steady progress and will appreciate this first start over the minimum trip having shown plenty of pace over 6f so far. Shamardyh was still in contention when clipping heels and unseating at this track three weeks ago and makes more appeal than Pieman's Girl, though much better is expected from Mirror as he drops back to 5f.
