Rain And Shade should step up on his debut run to be involved here, but we will side with Anne Bonney ahead of Sweetheart. The selection was slow away on her debut (when she was well-supported) and was asked to do to much too early by taking up the lead. Although this step up in trip doesn't appear to be ideal so early in her career, connections wouldn't be taking that step if they didn't think that she was capable of running well. Assuming she breaks better today, she must have solid claims. Rain And Shade didn't show too much on his debut, however the stable's runners often improve markedly for their first run and he looks a very obvious danger. Stand In Back was a massive price on his debut, however he belied those odds to finish a decent fourth. That form doesn't look the strongest given the dawdling pace, so whilst he may go well at a price today, his relations were better with time so he is passed over today. Deserter was also unfancied on her debut, however a staying-on fourth beaten just a length was a cracking effort and if improving on that, she must have a good chance of place money at least. Sweetheart may be best seen over a longer trip in time, so we will return to Anne Bonney as our idea of the winner.
