Discoteque is a sporting choice in the finale, while Prettilini, Miskina and Black Sea Pearl are others to monitor. Black Sea Pearl has plenty of scope for improvement and she can be forgiven her below par effort from a poor draw at Kempton last time. Being by Diktat, the trip should not really be a concern and the mount of John Egan will be noteworthy if supported. Miskina won this race off a 1lb lower mark last year and has to be respected. That said, her recent efforts have not been the most convincing and she needs to find improvement. Prettilini has a similar profile, as she is better than her recent efforts would suggest. She copes well with Wolverhampton and will be hard to keep out of the frame. However, in a race that is full of pitfalls, the well handicapped Discotheque rates as the best sporting option on this occasion. Especially as she shaped up nicely in similar grade last time.
